Great service and average dishes: Restaurant Olivé @ Radisson Blu St. Gallen (12. September 2019)

| October 18, 2019 | 0 Comments

If you want to eat at the Restaurant Olivé late at night make sure that kitchen is still up and running. Although the official announcement of the restaurant on its homepage is warm kitchen until 10pm, we ended up not getting any food the last time we tried at around 9:30pm although we had called in advance and asked if the kitchen was still up and running. This time, luckily, it had worked and we were welcomed very friendly and helped right away. After the orders were placed, we got an extensive amount of bread and spread which was good to keep us afloat until the food was served.

The “Insalata Mista (baby salad, quinoa, raw vegetables, house-made dressing)” (CHF 12.00) which I had as a starter was great in terms of taste and also a decent portion as a starter.

The “Maccheroni alla Carbonara (pancetta, egg yolk, parsley)” (CHF 28.00) were admittedly very good (but were lacking a bit of salt) and they were hue in terms of portion size! Frankly, I thought it was going to be impossible to eat it all!

All in all, when the kitchen is open still, the Olivé is a good choice to have dinner as the service is friendly, the food is good, and the prices are very fair as well. And even in terms of atmosphere they make sure you feel comfortable!
