Perfect for a swift Italian lunch: Restaurant Amalfi (8. November 2019)

| December 5, 2019 | 0 Comments

It is more than a year ago since I’ve last been to the Amalfi and it remains a good place for a quick Italian lunch. I went for the lunch menu (CHF 32.00) which started with a “lentil soup” which was rich, had actual lentils and was quite a huge portion – more like a main course portion than a starter portion.

The main course was a “grilled sea bass filet with zucchetti and lemon risotto”. The portion was rather big after the already big starter but the fish was tasty and the risotto was delicious. So, all in all, for only CHF 32.00 you get an absolutely good, tasty lunch offering.

The place is simple and the tables are generally rather close to each other but else absolutely good – the service was friendly and very swift. The prices are absolutely good – also true for the beverages (i.e. CHF 5.80 for 0,5l San Pellegrino). So, if you want to have a quick, tasty lunch which is fair in price, the Amalfi remains a good option.
