Delicious lunch offering – and this time in a speedy manner: Restaurant Facincani (26. November 2019)
The Facincani is one of the places I have in mind for slow service as once I had to wait a solid 40 minutes for my gnocchi which were “the menu of the day”. Since then, I have that association – but today, it changed a bit. I went for the soup of the day, which were the “tortellini in brodo” and which were absolutely lovely in terms of taste and even how they were prepared (plus, I personally consider this a quite generous soup of the day).
As a main, I went for the “fegato with apple and polenta” (CHF 25.00) which was absolutely delicious – especially in combination with the apples. And even the polenta, and I’m not such a big fan of polenta, was great.
Now, as I had initially mentioned, I was absolutely skeptical about the speed of the service but they surprised me very positively as they managed to serve the dishes swiftly and also with the respective pauses needed between the courses. All in all, if it is done like that, I like the Facincani as a lunch restaurant and can definitely recommend it if the performance is as it was today.
