Great for a swift business lunch – also for fish: Restaurant Palavrion (28. January 2020)
The Palavrion was always a place which is famous for its meat to me. Not sure if that’s actually true as I do not really remember in detail how the food was the last time I was there. Plus, I didn’t manage to order meat once again. The “carrot ginger soup” which was the soup of the day and I had as a starter was refreshing and good in terms of taste.
About the “Fish and Chips (fried perch filet in batter, sauce tartare, French fries)” (CHF 26.95) I decided to order, I was a bit skeptical to be honest but it turned out that the fish crisps were actually quite delicious overall and the French fries weren’t too bad either. Definitely a guilty pleasure but worth trying.
The place is full (book a table in advance) for lunch – you might be lucky if you come at like 11:30am, else, no chance. The service that day was actually very friendly, swift, and made sure we had what we wanted within a very decent amount of time! So, all in all, even if not for meat (because I cannot judge on it), I can totally recommend the Palavrion for lunch.
