13. – 18. February 2011: Breakfast at Restaurant Tivoli @Hotel Hilton Munich Park

| February 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

The breakfast buffet at the Restaurant Tivoli in the Hotel Hilton Munich Park is large and offers a great selection, ranging from water, fresh juices (pineapple, apple, orange, tomato), coffee, tee to muesli, joghurts, fresh fruit, jam, butter, to cold cuts, cheese, smoked salmon, hash browns, sausages, beans, scrambled eggs, bacon, omelettes, freshly made omelettes or eggs to a wide selection of bread.

The eggs, sausages and hash browns are good in taste and not too greasy. The smoked salmon varies in quality depending on the day. Some days it was really good, others not so much. So there is not really consistency and continuity in the quality of the smoked salmon.

The waitresses and waiters are friendly and helpful. Sometimes it takes a bit long though until they arrive at your table and provide you with fresh coffee and fresh orange juice. All in all, it is okay though. The price is quite high accounting for EUR 28.00 – but considering what you actually get, it is quite fair.

The atmosphere is still nice, but compared to having dinner in the same place, in the evenings it is definitely nicer. I can’t exactly point out why but I suppose the fact of the dimmed light provides the dining area with a better atmosphere.

All in all, although it costs quite something, the breakfast at the Restaurant Tivoli is quite good. In any case, it’s better than in the Executive Lounge – not because of the quality but because of the variety of dishes you get to chose from which is quite limited on the 12th floor.
