Lovely place for a pre-dinner drink: Bar @ Corte Gondina (23. October 2020)
The Corte Gondina in La Morra is a lovely, small boutique hotel which is located perfectly between Alba and Barolo so between Truffle and Wine. And they have a small bar which is great to eat and drink something before going for dinner. The selection of open wines is rather limited but if you are going for a bottle you’ll be able to find something decent and enjoyable.
The service is friendly and attentive and makes sure you have everything you want while you’re there. And, very typically for Italy, you are also served some small nibbles to eat while you’re drinking. Which is, in all honesty, generally quite lovely but if that happens throughout the whole day, you just at some point end up having too much food.
