19. + 20. March 2011: Restaurant Chamanna Naluns

| March 21, 2011 | 0 Comments

What you get at the Restaurant Chamanna Naluns is somewhat typical food you get when being on the slope. Somehow it’s better than average though. I went twice for Kebap with French Fries (CHF 16.80) with salad and spicy sauce. The kebap meat is quite okay and the French Fries are good (not oily, not too salty, just about right). The food is nothing special but for what you usually get on the slopes, the food in the Restaurant Chamanna Naluns is pretty good (just comparatively though to be clear about that).

The service is very friendly and helpful – the cashier lady helped us when my company felt sick and we didn’t even have to pay for aspirin or espresso or the like – not what you would expect of someone on the slopes but exactly this reaction made us go there again the next day.

Additionally, the view – on a sunny day – is great. You can see the slopes, sit outside and enjoy the sun – just great! Also, the prices are pretty decent for “slope-food”.

All in all, the Restaurant Chamanna Naluns is definitely a great place if you’re skiing and hungry: the food is better than average, not really expensive (CHF 9.50 for a liter of mineral water; CHF 5.50 for 0,5L cider), the service is extremly friendly and the view is great – the rest of the atmosphere not so much, but definitely great if you can sit outside!

To be clear about that agian: The 4 star ranking is compared to other restaurants on the slopes and not to the restaurants you can find in cities and the like!
