A lovely space to sit in the sun and have couple of Saturday morning bottles: Café Milchbar – das Gaumenfreudenhaus (25. April 2021)
Frankly, the Milchbar is not really a place I had on my agenda for food and drinks but I do admit that the food they offer is actually surprisingly delicious. The “california Salad with crispy chicken” turned out to be super rich as it had a lot of different ingredients and the chicken was nicely juicy while it was breaded and had a lovely crispiness.
The “vegetarian sushi” on the other hand was nothing exquisite. And the fact that it was served warm somehow didn’t really add to the experience.
And while it is a lovely place to sit outside and enjoy the sun, there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to the service as it takes quite a bit until they are actually showing up and taking your order, and sometimes even longer until you finally get your stuff served. But, all in all, the service is friendly and makes sure you feel comfortable. So, despite not having any expectation really, I must say that I was positively surprised by the whole experience.
