Packed in the first week after restaurant terraces are open: Restaurant Frau Gerolds Garten (27. April 2021)

The food selection in Frau Gerolds Garten is relatively limited, i.e., there are a few dishes which are easily prepared and this has also one major advantage: You get your food within a few minutes instead of waiting for it for quite some time. The “cheeseburger (100% beef) with cole slaw and baked potato with herb curd” (CHF 27.50) was prepared within 5 minutes after ordering and while it did not look too appealing, it was definitely enjoyable overall. The patty was a bit too dry in my personal opinion but else, the overall plate was good.

The number of people who were actually there was incredible though. There was a line to get in and the place was absolutely filled. Frankly speaking, I have never seen so many people trying to find a space to sit down and enjoy the sun (or at least the not entirely bad weather). If you want to go there, make sure to go early enough as else you spend quite some time standing in line.
