Great Southern style BBQ meat experience: Restaurant Brisket Southern BBQ & Bar (2. June 2021)
Somehow, I keep returning to the Brisk Southern BBQ & Bar because the food is actually quite enjoyable. And so was the “cocktail of the season” (CHF 18.00).
We went for the “fried munchies (mac ‘n’ cheese balls, brisket poppers and mixed pickled vegetables)” (CHF 26.00) as a starter which was absolutely fine in terms of quality but a bit small in terms of amount to share for two.
The “lone star platter (brisket, pulled pork, pork belly) (325gr per person)” (CHF 77.00) with “coleslaw” (usually CHF 6.50) and “BBQ Beans” (usually CHF 6.50) did not only look like a good portion. It was a good portion. Not only because it was enough but also because it was great from a taste perspective. The pulled pork was smooth as hell. The pork belly was delicious. And the brisket was to die for. So, frankly, the meat here is so much something which is worth coming for!
And on top of that, the service was friendly and attentive plus swift. And the atmosphere, if you sit outside on the part which is not towards to the street, is actually quite okay too. Thus, the Brisket Southern BBQ & Bar is not only good for lunch but also recommendable for dinner.
