A good quick and relatively healthy lunch option: Restaurant Viet Thai (6. July 2021)
The Viet Thai is a bit hidden in a residential area and not really a place you’d randomly walk by – unless you are really randomly walking around. In any case, it looks like on of these regular Asian kind of we do everything restaurants from the outside and also when you have a look into the menu.
But, it turns out that the dishes are actually quite good. I went for the “Bo Xao Sa Ot (fried beef with lemongrass, chilli, vegetables, celery with rice)” (EUR 13.90) which was much tastier than I had expected. The meat was of decent quality (not chewy and strainy like you experience way too often) and there were plenty of vegetables creating a balance to the meal.
The fact that you’re seated outside in a relatively calm neighborhood adds to the comfort and given the service is attentive and friendly – and, last but not least, swift, really adds to an overall pleasant lunch experience.
