Lovely Asian cuisine but lacking efficiency: Restaurant DuDu (23. July 2021)
The Restaurant DuDu offers a nice selection of different Asian dishes for a very good price performance ratio). I went for the “Sup Dua (tasty coco milk soup with chicken, mushrooms, lime leaves and lemongrass, garnished with cilantro)” (EUR 5.90), the “Goi Cuon (fresh summer rolls with rice noodles, fresh salad, cucumber, mint, cilantro, basil and tofu)” (EUR 5.90) and “Ga Chay (vegetarian soy chicken skewers served with peanut dip)” (EUR 4.90) which was a surprisingly good starter since even the vegetarian options are absolutely delicious. Peanut dip is not entirely my preferred food but else it’s tasty.
The “Du Cuon Vit (rice paper, rice noodles, salad, different herbs, soy sprouts, cucumber, peanuts, crispy duck)” (EUR 14.90) is a great main dish since it’s really fun to prepare your food and if you’re not used to rice paper, it’s really kind of weird and special to eat something wrapped in an incredibly thin but yet somehow strong layer of rice paper.
The place is relatively simple in terms of atmosphere and setup and not necessarily something spectacular but the service is friendly and attentive and makes sure you have everything you need within due time. Some things are a bit weird since we only got one “Mango Lassi” (0.3L, EUR 4.00) when we had asked for two or each time we asked for another bottle of sparkling water, we received a new set of glasses. Not sure why, but yeah, it is what it is.
