Not as good as its sister restaurant in Munich: Restaurant L’Osteria Köln Deutz (26. July 2021)
It was L’Osteria time the past few days, so, this time it was time for a shared “antipasti platter for 2 (prosciutto crudo, grana padano, artichokes, zucchini, eggplants, cipolle borretane, olives, Italian mozzarella di bufala, pesto genovese, bruschetta, vitello tonato)” (EUR 19.95) which serves as a perfect starter for four. The selection is diverse and the food is actually good.
I had ordered the “Insalate Caesare (roman salad, garlic croutons, grana padano, caesare dressing)” (EUR 8.50) with “chicken breast stripes” (EUR 2.45) but did not receive any chicken breasts so had to ask for it specifically again afterwards. And it was only delivered when I was approximately through half the salad. So yeah, that didn’t go entirely optimal.
However, the food is okay and the speed of delivery (besides the delayed chicken breast stripes) was actually very good. All in all, the L’Osteria is something you can definitely do if you are looking for a quick Italian-style dinner.
