Very basic food and far from friendly service: Restaurant Papa Joe’s Biersalon Klimperkasten (23. August 2021)
Sometimes you just want something really simple and then a typical German place like the “Restaurant Papa Joe’s Biersalon Klimperkasten” is just perfect. The “three little pork meat escalopes with delicious German potato salad” (EUR 15.50) were delivered rather quickly and were absolutely okay. The potato salad is to be forgotten but the pork meat escalopes were quite okay. Although all in all a rather small portion for being a typical German plate.
The place is nothing special in terms of atmosphere but it is okay if you get to sit outside and enjoy the market place where a lot of people stroll by. The inside is not all that appealing and somehow this all goes in line with the attitude and ‘friendliness’ of the waiter. He was quick? Yes. He was unfriendly? Also yes! So, all in all, the intention was a positive one, the execution didn’t really work though.
