A great location for a tasty and atmospheric dinner: Restaurant Brasserie Freilager (14. September 2021)
Even under new management, the Restaurant Brasserie Freilager offers great dishes and overall a great experience. I went for the “herb hay soup (with hay from Ennetbürgen and venison cuts)” (CHF 16.00) as a starter which was absolutely lovely but also rather simple in terms of flavor profile. The venison cuts were delicious and really added to the rather simple flavor profile of the soup.
The “beef entrecôte Café de Paris (180gr)” (CHF 56.00) was absolutely delicious since the meat quality was exquisite and the flavor combination with the Café de Paris sauce was perfect.
The “taglierini” I went for as a side dish were good too and if you added some Café de Paris sauce, it really made a perfect meal. The ‘vegetables’ on the other hand were a bit of a disappointment, i.e., a bit more would have been nice.
All in all, the offering you have at the Brasserie Freilager remains a great one and the dishes are very enjoyable, also for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is lovely too and the service is professional and makes sure you’ll have a great experience when dining here. Since the place is almost always booked, I would highly recommend you to book your table in advance.
