A surprisingly amazing quinoa tatar: Restaurant Bistro k2 (1. October 2021)
The Bistro k2 is relatively simple in terms of atmosphere and not really very visible from the outside. However, if you enter it, you will find a nice space for a decent lunch offering. I went for the “barley soup from the Grisons (barley, dried tomatoes, leek, carrots, cold cuts from the Grisons skewer, roasted bread)” (CHF 10.50) which was not only a decent portion but also delicious in terms of taste and flavor.
I tried the “three different tatare served on an étagère (210gr) (beef tatar, tuna tatar, quinoa tatar with beet root) served with roasted bread, toast bread, home-made mixed pickles and butter” (CHF 36.00) and I must say I was super positively surprised. Firstly, because the portion you get is super generous for the price you pay. Secondly, because all the tatars were actually great in taste and flavor. And lastly, because the quinoa tatar was actually mouth-watering. Definitely something I would also order without the other tatars.
The place is simple but generally appealing and functional. And the service is friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed rather quickly. So, all in all, I can definitely recommend the Bistro k2 for a lunch.
