Absolutely recommended for a swift lunch experience: Restaurant Bistro k2 (15. October 2021)
The Bistro k2 is a place I grew fond of over the past few weeks – they always offer a good lunch menu as well as a decent à la carte menu. I went for the lunch menu which starts with a “menu salad” which is quite generous in terms of mixture of different ingredients and goes well with the slice of bread provided.
The “pikeperch crisps with tatar sauce, sweet potato fries, and broccoli” (CHF 26.50) weren’t entirely to my liking though. They are fried, definitely fried, actually too fried for my personal gusto. It was nice that they changed the boiled potatoes for sweet potato fries without charging anything on top though. And all in all, the dish was fine, but it was not at the level of other dishes I’ve had at the Bistro k2.
The place isn’t that large, therefore, it’s highly recommended to book a table in advance. Secondly, the place is atmospheric, i.e., you feel comfortable right away. Last but not least, the service is friendly and attentive and makes sure you have what you need within a short period of time. So, for me, the Bistro k2 remains a great option for lunch.
