Definitely worth trying when you’re in Dresden – a variety of interesting tasty dishes: Restaurant Lila Soße (17. October 2021)

| December 19, 2021 | 0 Comments

While on my way to the Restaurant elements the night before, the cab driver recommended me to go to Lila Soße which I had booked already for lunch that day. So, I took that as a good sign. The place is hidden in a side alley so I passed it the first time, but when finding it, the journey begins. The place is nice but simple, the waitress is friendly and makes sure you’re attended quickly. However, since there is just one person serving and the place was quite crammed, you will have to be patient to get your food.

The menu is relatively small but still offers a variety of nice dishes. I went for the “pumpkin soup with thyme croutons” (EUR 6.90) which was nice in terms of quality of the soup and definitely enjoyable.

Secondly, they offer a whole lot of different dishes in “mason jars” and I definitely wanted to try one. I went for “coarse bratwurst from Duroc with mango chili sauce” (EUR 5.90) which was an interesting combination of a traditional German bratwurst and typical Asian flavors.

The “beef cheeks with creamed cabbage and polenta” (EUR 18.50) were delicious. And I must say I was especially astonished how tasty the creamed cabbage was. The meat was also great, so definitely something I can recommend.

All in all, the Restaurant Lila Soße is a nice place which offers great dishes in a lovely atmosphere with super friendly and attentive service. So, all in all, I can definitely recommend you to visit the place when i Dresden.
