When the lunch offering is severly limited: Restaurant Castellan´s Mediterranean Eatery (12. January 2022)
When you’re up for a delicious meal and want to pick something but figure out that over lunch they only offer two starters and three mains, then the choices are severly limited. In any case, I decided to go for the “artichoke cream soup with fennel oil” (CHF 9.00) which was decent as a starter.
As a main dish, I went for the “chicken involtini, prosciutto, sage, potato cubes with chestnut celery cream” (CHF 28.00) which turned out to be quite a portion plus was actually much more refined than I had expected. I mean, not a dish you will remember for the rest of your life but definitely a dish which is enjoyable and lovely overall.
The place is nice, modern interior design and generally appealing and the service is friendly, swift, and attentive. So, the Castellan’s Meditteranean Eatery is a nice place for lunch but of course only offers a limited selection of dishes – so you might want to check online before you book what they have on the menu that specific day.
