14. May 2011: Restaurant Bären

| May 23, 2011 | 0 Comments

The dishes in the Restaurant Bären are sound and okay, but nothing really special to be frank. The salad was a regular salad with good sauce and the only interesting part was the piece of melon. The main dish, a veal steak with Rösti and vegetables was pretty boring.

The dining rooms (not the main area) is pretty atmospheric as it is an old building with nice decoration and in general a nice mixture of stones and wooden elements. Definitely nice!

The waitresses are friendly and competent – nothing to complain, nothing special either. On the price I can’t judge as it was not of my concern that day.

Overall, while the Restaurant Bären is a nice place to have a couple of beers and is also pretty cool when it comes to “Fondue Chinoise à discretion” (served in autumn) plus the location is pretty nice in general – still, for the normal dishes, I won’t go there again.
