18. May 2011: Restaurant Opus

| May 23, 2011 | 0 Comments

If you order a tomato soup in the Restaurant Opus and are not that hungry, make sure you take the small portion. The regular soup bowl is pretty large and contains enough soup to fill a soup plate four times. The soup is freshly made and quite tasty. Also, it is absolutely reasonable in price (around CHF 14.00) – so definitely recommendable.

In the Opus you have three possibilities where to sit, twice inside and then outside next to the river – as the weather was nice, we decided to do exactly that and it’s just nice. Not that the chairs or tables are anything special but the fact that you’re right next to the river just makes the whole thing really nice.

The waitresses and waiters are friendly, nice, and helpful – as almost all the time. A glass of Amarone della Valpolicella from Masi 2007 costs CHF 12.50 per DL which is quite something but as the wine is pretty tasty, it is okay in price.

Overall, the Restaurant Opus is still recommendable – good food, nice atmosphere, friendly and competent service and all this at reasonable prices.
