My new favourite place close to Paradeplatz: Restaurant Coco Grill & Bar (26. April 2022)
The Coco Grill & Bar is slowly turning to my most favourite restaurant in the vicinity of Paradeplatz. It’s a simple concept but quite appealing. The menu doesn’t change too much, so it’s maybe not your ‘I’m going every day of the week’ kind of place, but it offers great dishes for a fair price – and is perfect for a quick business lunch as the service is swift, and the quality is good. The “ginger coconut carrot soup” (CHF 8.50) is a nice portion and tasty to get started.
The “veal chevapcici with peperonata” (CHF 32.50) doesn’t look like too big a portion but was actually enough and, somewhat surprisingly to me, also quite delicious. Especially the peperonata with which it was served was exquisite.
The inside is rather small, so if the weather is bad, I would recommend you to book quite a bit in advance as else you won’t get a table. And the same applies vice versa if the weather is good, and you want to sit outside in the nice little patio – book in advance. The service is super friendly and attentive and makes sure you get everything you need, and you want within a short period of time. They really give you the feeling like you’re the most valuable customer.
