A decent place to work but not recommended to eat: Restaurant @ ibis Styles Colmar Centre (1. July 2022)
The ibis Styles Colmar Centre offers something like a co-working space. To be honest, it’s not really a co-working space, but you are allowed to work in their lobby area for free – the only condition being that you have to consume a beverage. Since I spent a few hours working there, that condition wasn’t heard to fulfil. Given I was also hungry, I decided to go for something small – and the selection is not really amazing. The “sardines with olive oil and lemon” (EUR 6.50) sounded relatively appealing, but they were definitely far from exquisite.
The “boco risotto de coquillettes aux champignons” (EUR 14.00) was somehow pasta instead of risotto (but I couldn’t be bothered to complain) and it was definitely overcooked. The place is simple, functional, nothing more. The staff is friendly and does its best to help you and support you – but they are not really at the top of their performance.
All in all, the ibis Styles Colmar Centre is okay to sit down and work a bit – other than that, it’s not really a place I would recommend visiting.
