A nice place for breakfast when you get to sit outside: Restaurant Madame Julia (3. July 2022)
It is not easy to find a place which serves breakfast on a Sunday morning without pre-booking a table if you’re a group of six! However, we were lucky since we went early, and we found a spot – and quite a good one. I went for the “toast chicken and cajun (chicken marinated with cajun and honey, cream cheese garlic and herbs, cashew citron sauce, grilled cauliflower, chives, green onion, espelette pepper, mix mache red chard and rocket)” (EUR 15.90) with “avocado supplement” (EUR 4.00). The toast and salad was definitely healthy, and overall quite tasty.
If you have the chance to book in advance, do so, then you can book a table which has a bit of shadow as else the place is relatively crowded and without a reservation you end up sitting in the sun – which makes it quite unbearable after a certain time. Other than that, the place is simple in terms of atmosphere, so nothing too appealing. The staff is friendly and generally attentive, but forgot one orange juice and two coffees – which is a bit unfortunate if you are thirsty and looking for something to drink. Other than that, a nice place to enjoy your breakfast.
