A rather simple and standard place with friendly service: Restaurant La Piazzetta (22. July 2022)
The La Piazzetta has a bit of a difficult position since the area inside is quite lovely and appealing – while the few tables outside, due to the position of the restaurant on a corner, are not really that appealing in terms of being seated. They weekly menus, but I decided to try something else and went for a “Cordon Bleu di Vitello” (CHF 49.00) which was rather intense. To be fair, it’s not the one I had in mind when I ordered, but since there are two different cordon bleus (one with much heavier ingredients in terms of flavour profile), and I hadn’t specified. I didn’t complain. However, the regular cordon bleu is also quite nice and enjoyable.
Since the à la carte doesn’t come with an automated starter, I asked for a “green salad” – which was served with the cordon bleu. Which is not really what I wanted, but I wanted it as a starter. Frankly, what I was not aware of was the fact that you would get just the cordon bleu and nothing else. In any case, not optimal but absolutely okay.
The staff is super friendly and attentive, though, making sure you have everything you want. Not necessarily in the right order, but you will have everything you want. Booking in advance didn’t seem necessary as there were only quite few tables occupied.
