A decent breakfast selection: Restaurant Fig & Leaf @ Courtyard by Marriott Riyadh Olaya (19. September 2022)

The breakfast selection at the Courtyard by Marriott Riyadh Olaya is overall quite decent. It’s not necessarily the most pretty place there is when it comes to breakfast, but it’s definitely a good, yet simple breakfast buffet. It starts with a selection of different fruit juices …

… the mandatory kind of Middle Eastern pide breads (with all kinds of interesting and tasty toppings) …

… fresh fruit of all sorts …

… cereals …

… a variety of pickled fruit, vegetables, and other comparable things to pep up your breakfast.

A decent bread station with good Arabic bread …

… as well as some warm dishes ranging from regular European foods to more Middle Eastern foods …

… and ultimately, ingredients for a healthy morning salad. So, there really is everything you need and want, and it’s overall a decent selection. With 112.75 SAR for the breakfast, it’s also quite decently priced compared to other hotels in Riyadh. The place is, as mentioned, simple, so not really inviting to spend hours and hours here, but the staff is friendly, making sure everything is where and how you need it.

For me, the Fig & Leaf is not a place I would travel to visit, but it’s definitely very okay to have breakfast here when you’re staying at the Courtyard.
