A nice dinner buffet with a twist: Restaurant KitchenOn3 @ JW Marriott Hotel Riyadh (13. October 2022)

I was starving that evening and since the Executive Lounge at the JW Marriott would only serve food till 8pm, I decided to give the Kitchen on 3 a try. They offer a nice buffet for the evening which consists of a savoury part (“food buffet” (80.00 SAR)) consisting of an assortment of good dishes …

… which are repetitive, though. Which is only something you realize once you’ve started going through the buffet. I would say it’s misleading on purpose to create the impression that there is more to the buffet than there actually is.

Then, there is the “Dessert Buffet” (80.00 SAR) which costs the same. Given I only had one small bite of it, I felt a bit ripped off. Other than that, the selection at the dessert buffet is super nice. You get everything from fruits in a white chocolate fountain to …

… very small sweets …

… and ultimately even fruit. So, all in all, the selection is not too bad. Still, although everything is good, and the service does an exquisite job being attentive and helpful (almost too much, I find), it feels like something is a bit off. Not that it’s dodgy or the like, but it is like there is less to it than it seems.

All in all, the Kitchen on 3 has a decent offer when it comes to the dinner buffet, but you have to be aware that the selection is actually not that exquisite. Other than that, I would say, absolutely decent.
