A mind-blowing experience – on every possible level: Restaurant Punk Royale (22. October 2022)

| December 10, 2022 | 0 Comments

The “Punk Royale” is an experience of its own. Colourful, messy, wild, loud, interesting – and yet delicious!

Not sure, it deserves the fourth Michelin star though :-)

The place is relatively small and hosts about 30 guests. It’s important to be on time since the experience only starts when the place is full. There are no ‘between the times’ walk ins, but there is a clear choreography which is not shared with the guests. It starts like this, you’re seated, can take a few pictures – and quite quickly, the waiters come up to your table and ask you to store your phone in that ‘box’. So, that you are fully there, emerged in the experience, and cannot take pictures of the food. Frankly, I haven’t seen that.

There is also no choice in what to eat or what to drink. There is a “menu” (1’800 SEK) and a “booze pairing”(500 SEK) which is announced with “we want to make you drunk and eat a lot”! Well, I was up for that!

The whole lunch throughout is an experience between loud music, a lot of light, smoke effects, crazy waiters and chefs, making sure you will get great dishes. And you do! It’s a pity that you’re not allowed to take any notes, but man, it was a blast!

And after the experience, that was how the table looked like – definitely one of the messier lunch tables I’ve had in my life – but also one of the more fun restaurant experiences!

All in all, the Punk Royale is an experience of its own, and definitely worth doing when you are in Stockholm! Make sure to book, and to book early! Definitely worth it, you’ll have a blast!
