Great for a swift business lunch with a good selection of lunch menus: Restaurant 33 (1. December 2022)
The 33 remains a good place for a quick business lunch – thus, because they have a relatively large selection of weekly menus, which provides you with some optionality, and not just that one choice you have when you are going to another place. As part of each menu, there is a salad or soup, and I decided to go for the “zucchetto cream soup” as a starter, which was served super quickly. What was a bit of a disappointment though was the fact that the soup was quite watery and, therefore, stale when it came to the flavours.
The “saltimbocca di pollo con risotto e verdure (chicken breast with ham, sage, served with risotto and vegetables)” (CHF 33.50) was quite okay. Not the best meat I ever had, not the best risotto I ever had, and not the best vegetables I’ve ever had, but definitely what you would call simple, home-made food. The dish was fine, simple, enjoyable. And for the price in the middle of Zurich, you cannot say much about it.
The restaurant is quite spacious, so you have some privacy when having a discussion, which is quite nice. On top of that, the waitress who attended us was super friendly, and made sure you had everything you wanted and needed within almost no time. The 33 is not a fancy place, but it’s a swift, functional place for lunch – which is actually quite perfect.
