A Turkish steakhouse consistently serving great meat: Restaurant Chef Boutique (5. December 2022)
Given I was a bit lazy to go out and discover new places, I decided to give the Chef Boutique another try, and went, surprise, surprise, for the “hummus (chickpeas with tahini sauce and lemon)” (SAR 30.00) again. And it was as good as the first time. On top of that, I had asked for raw carrot sticks to dip in the hummus (instead of Arabic bread) and they served that without being complicated about it.
As a main, I went for the “beef lokum (200gr, served with smoked ragout vegetables and baby potatoes)” (SAR 155.00) which was as great as the last piece of meat. They really know how to prepare their meat and their vegetables on the grill. Frankly, I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce, but all the rest is quite nice.
From an atmosphere perspective, there are definitely better places, but the service is friendly, attentive, and swift. And so is the kitchen – so, all in all, it’s actually quite nice to have dinner here – also at my second visit.
