Great drinks in a modern atmosphere: W Lounge @ W Algarve (4. January 2023)
As I had originally considered staying at the W Algarve instead of the Pine Cliffs, I decided to give the W Algarve a try as well when I drove by the last time. So, it was time to find the W Lounge and get a drink. The place was quite empty, so you could just roam around the area as much as you wanted at any time, and would then finally and ultimately find the W Lounge.
Once you were seated, you were attended in a friendly manner and the waiter would make sure to take care of all your wishes and requests. I went for the “Sage (tanquery TEN, sage, elderflower liqueur, aquafaba, salt)” (EUR 16.00), which was overall refreshing and enjoyable – but a rather tiny version of a drink, and a strong one.
The interior of the relatively newly built W is interesting and somewhat appealing, since it’s hip and modern …
… in every way possible …
… but still creates the atmosphere of cosiness somehow …
… and a certain level of exclusivity …
To sum it up, the drinks selection at the W Algarve is nice and definitely worth trying. If you’re in the vicinity or stay at the hotel, I would definitely go for that. However, if you’re not, then I would probably not do the drive to pay this place a visit.
