A nice and decent business lunch experience with a non-changing menu: Restaurant Coco Grill & Bar (17. January 2023)
I love the Coco – it has a simple, but working concept. And it makes sure that you get what you need for lunch, when you’re on a tight schedule – in quality. They do not really have a menu besides what the waiter tells you. To be fair, though, there isn’t much variation of the menu over time. In any case, I went for the “market salad” (CHF 8.50) as a starter, which was lovely since it encompassed quite a nice selection of ingredients and a good dressing.
Then, I went for the “veal paillard with market vegetables” (CHF 54.00), which was absolutely good. Frankly, though, CHF 54.00 for this is just kind of too much. I get the premium location, the salaries and all, but for a thin slice of veal (yes, I know that’s how paillard works), it feels like it’s just too much. Nothing to substantiate, but just a gut feeling.
Nevertheless, the Coco is great – nice and cosy atmosphere. Super friendly waiters and good service. Good dishes. Just on the pricing, one could work a little bit. Booking in advance is key, since the place has maybe 10 tables, and is, therefore, booked out relatively quickly.
