14. June 2011: Tabacco Bar
The Planters Punch (EUR 9.50) is good, the Scorpion (EUR 9.50) is great, and the French Connection (EUR 8.00) is too bitter for my taste but good too. Overall, the drinks in the Tabacco Bar are quite good and fair in price (although they seem comparatively expensive for Germany).
The atmosphere in the Tabacco Bar is great – the bar is pretty dark, the interior is entirely held in wood, and it is just pretty nice overall. Also, the bar is pretty crowded on a Tuesday evening and the dishes (I didn’t eat) looked pretty nice.
The waiter is friendly and helpful and does his job as requested – we also got some olives to our table which were quite good.
Overall, the Tabacco Bar is a truly atmospheric bar which has pretty good drinks for fair prices. Only the background music is a bit too loud if you want to talk – besides that, quite great! One important hint/note: They only accept cash for payment – therefore, withdraw enough cash if you want to go there!
