A perfectly lovely place for a meal with a shisha by the pool: Andreea’s Beach Club (3. February 2023)
Since I was somehow not able to get up early enough, I missed breakfast and the lounge completely. Hence, it was time to find a spot, which offers food and shisha – and the Andreea’s Beach Club is pretty perfect for that. If you want, you can go to the place to enjoy your time at the beach or the pool, or you can just visit the restaurant, which offers nice dishes too. I went for the “baby artichoke salad (baby artichoke marinated with thyme, rosemary, garlic, lemon wedges, olive oil, served with Parmesan cheese crackers)” (57.00 AED), which was quite nice, but a tiny bit too oily for my taste.
Then I decided to try the “Mexican fish tacos (flour tortilla filled with seasoned fried cod fish, chipotle-mayo slaw)” (95.00 AED). And while they looked nice, I had forgotten that they had been Americanized. The size of the tacos was quite massive, hence, my original idea to get a salmon as a main course, went right down the drain, once they had arrived. But, to be fair to the tacos, they were actually quite enjoyable!
The “double apple shisha” (150.00 AED) I went for and kept smoking for a while, was nice too. Only the shisha guy needed a bit more instructions than usually since the amount of charcoal he had placed on it was rather little, so it was tricky to fully smoke and enjoy it.
The waiter who was responsible for the food (yes, there is a food waiter and a shisha guy) did a marvellous job. He was super friendly, flexible, and attentive during the whole time. All in all, I was quite happy with the experience at the Andreea’s Beach Club.
