Simple but enjoyable noodle experience – with not enough noodles: Restaurant The Noodle House – JBR (4. February 2023)
I was looking for a quick and easy bite and found The Noodle House in JBR. And frankly, I was quite positively surprised! The “Asian kale salad (local curly kale, red cabbage, carrot, cashew nuts with a miso-ponzu dressing)” (46.00 AED) was rich in ingredients and quite refreshing in terms of flavour and taste profile.
The “duck chair siu bao (shredded duck meat, pickled mooli, sriracha mayo)” (38.00 AED) was also rather enjoyable. A bit messy to eat, but then again, baos are always a bit messy to eat. And it was overall rather tasty.
The “caramelized beef noodles (ban mian noodles, carrot, shitake mushroom, grilled beef, togarashi egg)” (72.00 AED) were nice in terms of flavours and texture. What I was missing a bit was the noodle part. I mean, there were noodles, but there could definitely have been more noodles!
All in all, the food was quite enjoyable and overall nice. And so was the service. Once the sparkling water I had ordered was served (which took a while), things went rather quickly and the staff was friendly throughout the entire process.
