A lovely little patio with decent dishes: Restaurant Nola Eatery & Social House (5. February 2023)
The Nola Eatery was recommended to me by a friend the previous day, so, I decided to give it a shot! I went for the “hot spinach cheese dip (oven baked, served with sourdough crostini)” (46.00 AED) as a starter, which was quite lovely. The bread was not entirely easy to eat, since it was seasoned and would ‘decorate’ your hands with all the seasoning, but other than that, it was quite enjoyable.
The “flank steak (240 gr.)” (125.00 AED) with “old-style dixie coleslaw” (27.00 AED) and a “garden salad” (27.00 AED) was a more international dish, but it turned out to be truly enjoyable. The cut was great, the quality of the meat good, and the sides enjoyable too.
Besides that, the place is quite lovely in terms of design with its little patio …
… and the service does a good job. They are attentive, friendly, and relatively swift. So, all in all, the Nola Eatery is a nice place for a quick lunch, and probably also rather enjoyable in the evening. The only thing is the way to get there – which is a bit confusing and somehow not really too appealing. You have to enter the hotel lobby, get on the lower ground (-1), and once you’re there, you have to walk through the garage to get through a kind of tunnel to finally get there. Not appealing to get there, but worth the slightly weird journey.
