15. – 22. June 2011: Westin Executive Club Lounge

| June 22, 2011 | 0 Comments

The breakfast in the Westin Executive Club Lounge is not bad but not really appealing either – while the general selection of food is not bad, it is just somewhat worse than the large breakfast buffet you can find on the first floor of the Westin Grand Hotel. The smoked salmon is supposedly the same as downstairs but they are missing for example the dill-mustard-sauce which is somewhat not so great. Additionally, the smoked salmon was somewhat oily, so also not really great either.

What is truly great though when you have breakfast in the Westin Executive Club Lounge is the view all over Munich – especially when the sun is shining it is just great to have the amazingly wide view. The service is friendly but a bit under-staffed – you have to wait quite some time in order to get what you want. Too bad but well, not much you can do about it, I guess. The price is great – theoretically, meaning, if you’re a SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) Platinum member you get your breakfast basically for free because you got free Lounge Access, when you have an Executive room, then you get it also included (but that one costs badly much). So, overall, besides the really nice view and the feeling of privacy you have up there in the sky (at least kind of), it is not worth going there, meaning, I wouldn’t book an Executive Room (especially as they are basically the same as the regular rooms when it comes to the interior) but it’s worth going if you get it for free being a Platinum member.
