Quite a delicious and simple Indian pre-flight food experience: Restaurant Bombay Bungalow (5. February 2023)

| April 25, 2023 | 0 Comments

Since I wanted to eat somewhere close to the hotel before leaving for the airport, I was looking for places in JBR and found the Bombay Bungalow, which is a lovely Indian place. The evening started with “bread and dip”, which was quite nice.

I then went for the “chicken (spicy fried chicken with south Indian spices)” (55.00 AED), which was not only tasty, but also quite a portion. For a starter, it’s rather massive.

As a main, I went for “chicken tikka masala (fire roasted chicken, tomato cream sauce)” (65.00 AED) with “garlic naan” (20.00 AED). Yeah, chicken again, but since it was before a red-eye flight, I didn’t want to surprise my stomach with too many unknown things, and I’ve had chicken tikka masala in the past. And it was, nice and spicy! Frankly, a great bite! Not necessarily optimal or ideal before an overnight flight, but good nevertheless.

What I liked about the place quite a bit was the interior design. It is spacious and has all these Indian elements in terms of decoration and in terms of colours. Lovely really!

But not only that, the service was also quite nice. They were friendly overall and the waiter made sure I never had to wait for long when ordering something in addition. Like an additional bottle of water or the like – it was all served within a very short period of time.
