Turbinenbräu remains a down-to-earth delicious place with simple dishes: Restaurant Turbinenbräu (7. February 2023)
It’s a bit ago since I’ve been to the Turbinenbräu and the last time I ended up there in the ‘surprise’ all-you-can-eat ribs night! This time, it wasn’t that evening! So, I decided to go for something more traditional on the menu. The “pinsa caliente (chorizo, peperoni, garlic, sour cream with smoked bell pepper)” (CHF 26.00) sounded like an appetizer, but turned out to be a full dish. I mean, it was good, and it was somewhat like a pizza without being a pizza, but it was also a rather hefty portion.
As a main, I went for the “sous vide flank steak with Whiskey jus” (CHF 39.00) and I must say, it was quite a portion too. A tasty one, but a big one. The meat was nicely marinated and definitely enjoyable, but maybe a bit too chewy for my personal gusto.
The “winter grill vegetables” (CHF 7.00) on the side were nice, but turned out to be too much in the end – unfortunately, since they were tasty, but just in terms of amount ‘over the top’.
The service was friendly and attentive, making sure you had everything you needed and wanted at all times – so, the Turbinenbräu remains a place which you can definitely visit if you are looking for good, swift, and tasty dishes in the evening.
