Very traditional Swiss dishes on a nice sunny terrace: Restaurant Astras (28. February 2023)
Somehow I have walked by this place so many times in the past and never entered, but since it offered a “sun terrace”, I figured, it might be worth giving it a try. Unfortunately, the moment we had sat down, the sun also started disappearing, but we still decided to have something to eat. I went for a “garnished sausage cheese salad served with French dressing” (CHF 21.50), which was much, much better than I had expected. The portion was super generous and the garnish was plenty!
You really had everything from cucumbers to tomatoes to corn, to potato salad, to green leaf salad, and of course the mandatory sausage and chese. All in all, I was super content with the dish. Nothing fancy or extraordinary, but a excellent sausage-cheese salad! The waiter was friendly and attentive, and the place is simple, but nice in terms of view. So, if you are passing by and get to spend some time in the sun on the terrace, this is definitely a decent place to visit.
