A great place to eat simple, but delicious pieces of meat: Restaurant 7 Ribs (29. March 2023)

I had originally ordered an Uber to get to another restaurant, which is located right next to this place. But when I saw ‘7 Ribs’, which was quite appealing, since it ‘sold’ tasty meat, I adjusted my plan and went to 7 Ribs. And I must say, it was a good surprise. What I keep being surprised is how empty all these restaurants are – I mean, you basically are almost the only customer (to be fair, it was Ramadan, so it was probably even worse in terms of number of visitors than usually), so I just don’t understand how this is sustainable.

In any case, I had asked for the starters and the main to be brought sequentially and, for once, they actually succeeded! The “kale salad (kale tossed in balsamic vinaigrette topped with boiled beetroot, feta cheese and walnuts)” (28.00 SAR) was quite a big portion, so you would feel like you’re already half full after this.

The “brisket tacos” were served, and what I liked particularly about it, was that it was served in ‘nice portions’. I mean, the amount of meat, which was spread on the tacos was actually not way too big, so you could actually eat it as a proper taco. And they were super tasty.

While the “short ribs (200 days grain fed)” (149.00 SAR) with “creamed spinach” (14.00 SAR) and “yellow BBQ sauce” (3.00 SAR) and “hot sauce” (3.00 SAR) didn’t look too appealing, since it was so black it felt like it was almost burnt, it turned out to be quite delicious and perfect. The meat would come off the bone in an instant, when you just pulled it a bit with your fork, and it would go just perfect with the sauces. The hot sauce was damn hot, but damn it was tasty!

The service was super friendly and attentive – only in the very end, when I wanted to get the bill, it took them quite a while to show up and bring the bill. So, all in all, I definitely can recommend you the 7 Ribs. Lovely for tasty meat!
