26. June 2011: Brasserie des Halles de L’Île
If you’re looking for a good breakfast buffet in Geneva, I recommend you going to the Brassiere des Halles de L’Île – you can enjoy a large buffet for only CHF 39.00. The dishes are good, the selection is quite big (only the selection of bread is disappointing) and overall, it is definitely a good breakfast buffet. It is not like the one in the Westin Grand Hotel in Munich (which is definitely one of the greatest I’ve had so far) but it is also only two third of that price, so overall more than fair and recommendable!
In addition to the good and fair-in-price food, the location is also pretty nice. Not because of it’s interior but because of the place. The restaurant is located in the middle of the river and when you get a nice place, you can look out of the window (or even sit outside if you want) and enjoy the view of the river – it is definitely great.
The waitress was very friendly, nice, and helpful. Just the way a waitress has to be.
Overall, the Sunday morning breakfast buffet in the Brasserie des Halles de L’Île is great: Great selection of food, very fair price, friendly and good service, and last but not least, also a nice atmosphere. Definitely a recommendable place!
