Apparently the best cheese kransky in Vienna, apparently: Bitzinger Würstelstand (9. April 2023)

| June 13, 2023 | 0 Comments

Apparently, the cheese kransky is an internationally known dish – someone in the group mentioned that you would get the absolute best cheese kransky in the Bitzinger Würstelstand. Since there is always quite a queue of people trying to get one of these cheese kransky, you can be sure that they are relatively fresh. However, the best Käsekrainer? Not sure – it tasted, to me, like any other regular cheese kransky I’ve tried in my life. The “Käsekrainer with bread, mustard and ketchup” (EUR 5.80) is worth trying because it’s distinct to and typical for Vienna.

Does it have to be the Bitzinger Würstelstand? It sure can be, and it’s, admittedly, convenient when you’re visiting the Albertina since it’s right next to it. But other than that, you can basically have the same kind of cheese kransky at any Würstelstand. Maybe not as fresh, but taste-wise not necessarily worse.
