Surprisingly decent airport food: Restaurant The Noodle House @ Dubai International Airport (DXB) (6. May 2023)
Since I had spent the whole day at the pool and didn’t really find time to have something for dinner, I decided to eat something at the airport. Something I usually try to avoid, but given I saw a ‘The Noodle House’, I figured, why not. The place is actually surprisingly decent in terms of how it looks, and the staff is super swift and friendly.
I went for the “Goujian fried wanton (deep-fried wanton chicken, prawns, and spicy chilli sauce)” (40.00 AED) as a starter and I must say, it was tasty – especially with the spicy sauce. Not easy to eat with chopsticks, since the crispiness makes it easy to lose, but it was good.
The “Shanghai noodles (udon noodles, beef strips, Chinese spinach, mushroom and Ckt sauce)” (80.00 AED) were tasty, but frankly, there were much more vegetables than there were noodles, which kind of defeats the purpose of a noodle dish, at least in my opinion.
However, when you’re at DXB airport and hungry, then The Noodle House is definitely not a bad choice. Swift, tasty, and fair in price.
