A decent all you can eat sushi buffet before 8pm: Restaurant Koi (7. May 2023)

The Koi is located close to KAFD, and it offers quite an interesting deal in the evenings (before 8pm) – “Sushi Happy Hour Buffet” for only 140.00 SAR. And while the selection is not vast and the quality is not absolutely mind-blowing, it is a decent selection with good quality sushi.

On top of this, you also get a small selection of ‘salad elements’ …

… and a lot of different sushi to pick from …

… and the good thing is, it’s a rather quick meal too since you can just go there and get as much as you want. The confusing thing is that you’re basically almost alone. And for that, the selection of different sushi is quite big (and I do not want to know how much ‘food waste’ there is).

The interior of the place is decent, but also not overly appealing though, to be honest.

The waiters are friendly and generally attentive, but they are almost trying a bit too hard. I get it, there aren’t too many customers, so you really want to leave an impression, but it still feels somehow a bit ‘over the top’.

All in all, the restaurant Koi is decent – if you are in the vicinity and like sushi and a bargain, then the Koi ain’t too bad. However, it’s not worth the drive really since the quality and selection are not that outstanding in the end.
