When the food causes you stomach pain: Restaurant Le Rallye ETC (18. May 2023)
Verdun is definitely worth visiting due to its history and due to the actual setup of the city – full of ancient monuments, which are quite impressive. When it comes to the gastronomic scene, the view is a bit different. We decided to eat something at Le Rallye ETC, which had decent ratings and was still open at 1.50pm. I went for the “quiche lorraine maison and salad verte” (EUR 9.50), which was quite okay. I mean, the Quiche Lorraine was quite okay. The salad was rather standard.
As a main, I went for the “Salade Caesar (emincés de poulet grillés, salade, concombre, tomates, croûtons, copeaux de parmesan, oignons rouges, sauce Caesar)” (EUR 13.80) and that was, frankly, not a good idea. The portion was mega big, the chicken didn’t taste all too appealing and neither did the salad sauce. And, not sure due to what exactly though, about 30-45 minutes later, my stomach started bugging me quite massively, so, it’s not a place I would recommend visiting.
The location is quite okay since you’re located right next to the river and the service staff is friendly and helpful, however, all in all, the Rallye ETC is not a place I would frequent again.
