Quite a lovely place but you absolutely need to book in advance: Restaurant Le Harold (19. May 2023)
It is highly recommended to book at the Le Harold in advance since the place is rather packed. And when you book, you have to make it clear that you prefer to sit outside in the sun. We only got a table in the sun by negotiating a bit with the waitress, as everything was empty when we arrived (and the table next to ours never got filled). I went for the “oeuf parfait espuma de Maroilles (ouef parfait, crème de Maroilles, huiler d’herbe, croûtons de pain et bresaola ou pas)” (EUR 10.00) as a starter, which was served relatively quickly, and it was quite delicious.
Despite the fact that the waiter had warned us that it would take about 20 minutes until they would serve the dish, it took them a good 40 until the main courses arrived. And frankly, for a bit of pasta with chicken, this seems off. The “coquilletto au poulet (coquilettes, poulet Français, crème de beaufort et Gruyère et Mascarpone)” (EUR 20.00) was okay, but it was rather simple. I mean, what to expect, but it was still a bit dull.
The place is located in a little patio, which is quite lovely looking from afar, and still nice when you’re getting closer. The staff is friendly and attentive (if you are a bit patient).
All in all, the Restaurant Le Harold is a good place to visit for a lunch. Not necessarily for a quick lunch, but for a lunch.
