Another golf course, another golf course restaurant, and you can’t pay by card – again: Restaurant Toscana IV (29. May 2023)
Another golf course, another restaurant, another occasion in Germany where you cannot pay by card! Sure, they are offering that you wire the money for the food (without even taking up your details or anything), but I just don’t get it. And there isn’t any ATM close to the place either. So, you’re pretty much forced to do it that way and wire the money.
In any case, the Toscana IV is not really part of the golf course, but it’s the only restaurant next to it, so you kind of have to go here if you want to eat something before or after the round of golf.
What I appreciate a lot is the speed of the service. I had ordered an “insalata mista” (EUR 6.50), which came with a garlic dressing, which was tasty, but intense.
As a main, I went for the “tortellini alla panna (with ricotta spinach filled tortellini with ham and cream sauce)” (EUR 12.50), and while it was a simple dish, it was actually quite nice. The pasta was a bit overcooked, but the bite itself was quite lovely.
All in all, the Toscana IV is definitely a place you can eat something without feeling bad after a round of golf. But, you have to make sure to bring cash as else you will have to wire it afterwards.
