Simple food, but incredibly friendly service when in France: Restaurant Les Bacchantes (1. June 2023)
Funny enough, the place I had picked was within walking distance of the Paris office, without me realising it. So, surprised by its location, I was actually also surprised by the whole thing. The place is tiny, but through intelligent interior design with mirrors, it looks quite a bit bigger than it actually is. The place is a French bistro, but the tables are not those tiny bistro tables I absolutely dislike, but actually quite decently sized tables. And very surprising for France, the service was excellent and friendly. A true wow-effect for me!
I went for the “onglet de boeuf grillé (Scotch beef), sauce aux echalotes, frites” (EUR 23.00), which was a decent bite. Frankly, nothing I would come specifically back for, but definitely something you can absolutely enjoy when you’re in the vicinity.
So, all in all, the Les Bacchantes is a nice, relaxed restaurant where you get decent food for a very fair price with actually friendly and swift service. So, all in all, quite a nice experience, for once in France!
