Decent if you are here anyways, but not worth visiting: Restaurant @ Holiday Inn Paris – Gare de Lyon Bastille, an IHG Hotel (2. June 2023)
What you get in the Holiday Inn Paris – Gare de Lyon Bastille is a decent lunch offering. Not really what you would call amazing or mind-blowing, but surprisingly okay. The starter was a “slice of smoked duck with pea puree” and while the pea puree was rather uneventful, the slice of smoked duck was great.
The “chicken breast with peaches and tomatoes” was fine as well. Personally, there could have been a bit more meat to the whole thing, but other than that, it was actually quite fine. I especially liked the combination of dried peaches with dried tomatoes.
The “chocolate dessert” was something, which was rather intense. There was a lot of chocolate, and while it wasn’t bad, it was so chocolate-y that it felt like too much.
All in all, the experience at the Holiday Inn Paris was fine – given I had a full day workshop there, it was okay. Else, I probably wouldn’t visit.
